My new home supports local artisans, products, and finishes that contribute towards a sustainable future. We have wallcoverings with material made from post-consumer recycled glass, and shelving that saved local trees from being turned into mulch or thrown in landfills.

My home is not only a representation of my style, but also my values and the neighborhood that I love.

Our story started with the finishes


A creative spark ignited by the local Mill City Farmers Market was the design vision catalyst of The Vicinity. Our interiors are infused with farm-to-table inspiration and the natural color pigmentation visible in flavorful herbs and spices. This organic approach to design curated a comfortable atmosphere and tasteful results.

We know that local initiatives can produce a global impact. The Vicinity’s energy usage is offset by two solar gardens built by Sherman Associates in Carver and Dakota County.  These two gardens generate 7 megawatts of power, providing clean fuel to Xcel Energy available for The Vicinity and all of Sherman’s properties in Hennepin County.
